Nothing in life is certain but here’s one thing that’s close: some time soon, in the not-so-distant future, the entire world will be talking about Points of Sail – the design duo from Chicago who literally and figuratively do it all. Our homes, offices, and “third places” will be filled with furniture, fixtures, and architectural elements that have been sketched, designed, and fabricated by the brand. Points of Sail will be a household name and, if you’re lucky, a literal part of your household.
For the the time being, we can all temporarily satiate our need for these items with the ghostwrite x Points of Sail “Skip” 400% ghost. Well, at least those that had winning bids in our most recent Blind Dutch Auction, can. The rest of us will have to bide our time with the interview we conducted with James and Larry HERE.

The three-day Blind Dutch Auction for the Points of Sail “Skip” 400% ghost ran from April 8th through the 10th, and per usual, the market set the Clearing Price. Here’s what happened:
- Total ghosts sold: 30
- Total bids: 61
- People who bid for one ghost: 39
- People who bid for two ghosts: 11
- Highest Bid: $1,650
- Clearing Price: $200
There was ~2X more bids placed in the BDA than the number of ghosts that were available to purchase. While demand was well above supply, our expectations are that in a year’s time, or less, the demand for anything designed by Points of Sail will be much, much higher.
Almost every winning bidder paid less than their bid to purchase the “Skip” ghost, with 92% of the winners bidding more than the $200 clearing price. And when looked at in aggregate, that works out to all winners paying $10,158 less than their bids in total.
If you weren’t a winning bidder or missed on the release for any reason, you can head to StockX and place a bid HERE.
