Following close on the heels of our WNBA “2025 Season” 100% Blind Box collection, we couldn’t help ourselves but go back to back with another basketball release. How does that saying go? Oh yeah! We love this game! Next up is the ghostwrite x NBA “2025-26 Season” 100% Blind Box collection.
There’s a ton of new stuff to cover so we mustn’t dwell. No, not today. We can’t. Not on Rex Manning Day!
Let’s go!
Blind Box Math
Blind box ghosts are what we call “100%” size – 2.75” tall x 1.125” wide. They are sold in “blind boxes”, which means you won’t know which NBA player you get until you open the box. The 100% blind boxes come in cases, and each case contains 12 blind boxed ghosts.
Here are the key stats:
- Cases produced = 2,312
- ghosts per case = 12
- Players in the set = 21
- Rookies in the set = 4
- Famous Fans in the set = 1
- Player parallels = 7
- Rare Inserts = 5
- Total unique ghost designs = 160
- Average hits per case = 1
Blind box ghosts operate almost identically to trading cards – hence the trading card terminology above like “parallel”, “insert”, “rookie”, and “hit”. If you’re a card collector, you know these words well, and you also probably understand the experience. When designing this product, it was that experience that we’ve tried to replicate – like chasing the 1/1 of your favorite rookie!
But there is one important difference between cards and ghosts. Well, two important differences, if you count the fact that ghosts are 3-dimensional. In a typical trading card set, pretty much every player in the league is included. But for 3-dimensional blind box toys, it’s impossible to make a set with hundreds of different players. This being our second NBA collection, we have the benefit of hindsight and also took the amazing feedback from the ghostwrite community into account when selecting the 21 players, plus one famous fan, to include in the 2025-26 Season release.

New Year: New Designs
In addition to the twelve new players being included in the NBA 2025-26 Season Blind Box release, we are excited to reveal some new designs.
First up is the new face that will appear across all players and all parallels in the set. The unofficial name for this new design is “I Got This”. As in, “pass me the rock, I got this”. He reads the defense like he reads the future. Three moves ahead. On his face, the telltale sign of a vision only he can see. The traces of a smirk. One raised eyebrow. I got this.
This is what the new NBA Base design looks like for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Next up is this year’s new “Victory” parallel. Simply put, it features the same facial expression as the Base parallel except that the player is wearing a pair of sunglasses. Because nothing says “we just notched a huge W” better than throwing on a slick pair of shades for the post game presser.
Again, here is what SGA’s “Victory” parallel looks like in the NBA 2025-26 collection.

In addition to the rare Emerald, Gold, Chrome, and Fire parallels that were in last year’s NBA set, we are adding a new one to the mix for the 2025-26 Season collection. The Vides parallel. As in, Joshua Vides. Yes that Joshua Vides. The world-renowned graphic designer famous for turning cars, motorcycles and all manner of objects into 2D through the application of his signature “Reality to Idea” concept. He was gracious enough to apply this concept to a ghost. All players in the set will have 25 Vides parallels and there will also be a total of 25 Vides trophy inserts.

The four rookies in the collection — Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Yang Hansen, V.J. Edgecombe — all have an “R” designation on the upper right shoulder of their jerseys.

Parallels and Inserts
ghost parallels function just like trading card parallels. The parallel variants have different visual elements, and they are produced in much lower numbers, making them more rare and more valuable to l collectors.
Here is the lineup of the base design and five parallels for Cade Cunningham. From left to right – Base, Victory, Vides, Emerald, Gold, Chrome, and Fire.

| Parallel | Quantity Per Player | Approx. Odds Per Case |
| Victory | 50 | 1 per 2 cases |
| Vides | 25 | 1 per 4 cases |
| Emerald | 25 | 1 per 4 cases |
| Gold | 10 | 1 per 10.5 cases |
| Chrome | 5 | 1 per 21 cases |
| Fire | 1 | 1 per 100 cases |
In addition to the player parallels, there are five trophy inserts included in the NBA blind box collection that are even more rare and exclusive. These trophy ghosts bear the NBA logo across their chests along with “2025-26” – the year of this collection.

As with our previous Blind Box collections, there is also the extremely elusive, extremely rare 1/1 ghostwrite branded insert in the collection. If you were extremely farsighted, it would look like this:

LeBron James: Short Print /50
As noted above, LeBron appears in the set as a Short Print. Only 50 ghosts exist and there are NO parallels. That means that every single ghost for Bron is a hit. The odds of pulling LeBron is less than 1% across the entire NBA “2025-26 Season” set. So if you pull one, be sure to keep it safe.

Pete Davidson: Famous Fan
Pete Davidson’s love of basketball is deeply rooted in his New York upbringing, where being a Knicks fan is practically a birthright. Growing up in Staten Island, he embraced the grit, loyalty, and long-suffering optimism that define the Knicks faithful. Whether he’s sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden or repping the team publicly, Davidson wears his fandom with pride, embodying the die-hard devotion that only true New Yorkers understand. If you look closely, you’ll also notice that Pete is rocking a pair of Doublesoul socks. You can shop Pete’s Picks: HERE.

Transparent Supply
Production transparency supports true collectability. By being transparent and open about the scarcity of our ghosts, we create long-term value for collectors. That’s why we’ve made it as easy as possible to know, for each design, exactly how many ghosts exist.
The numbering on the bottom of the foot of the NBA 100% ghosts will show, “1225.X”. This means that this ghost was designed in December of 2025. The “X” will be an actual number that indicates how many of that particular ghost has been produced. If for example you pulled a Tyrese Haliburton Base parallel, the bottom of its foot would read “1225.2000”, like this…

Player Exclusives
ghostwrite was founded by a team of lifelong card collectors. Throughout this blog post, we’ve talked about all the lessons and insights we drew from trading cards when designing this set. But in addition to being card collectors, we’re ALSO a team of sneakerheads. So we took a couple lessons from sneakers, too.
Most importantly: the concept of the “player exclusive”. Player exclusive sneakers are specific colorways made exclusively for players. They’re never sold to the public; they’re gifted directly to the players themselves.
We did the same thing here. For each player, we created a unique /5 player exclusive parallel. And we’re gifting each player their five PE ghosts. Here’s what Cooper Flagg’s PE looks like:

To be clear: you can’t get these PE ghosts in the cases that you buy. They weren’t packaged into any of our blind boxes; they aren’t for sale. It’s possible you’ll see them someday on the secondary market. But if you do, know they came directly from the player (or, perhaps, an extremely close and lucky friend of the player, in the event they gifted them to someone else).
Final Thoughts
For every case of NBA “Game Face” that you purchase in the Blind Dutch Auction, you will receive one free plastic case to keep your biggest hits safe. They look like the cases pictured here but do not include any ghosts inside of them. You can also purchase more of these cases on our site: HERE.
