We’re one month out from our MLB “Game Face” release and the secondary market is still humming. A Shohei Ohtani Gold crown (/10) 100% ghost sold for $7,000 in a private sale and the massive $20K bounty for Ohtani Fire crown (1/1) has yet to be claimed. Now for the encore: our first-ever NBA Blind Box collection – “Game Face” 2025. Here’s everything you need to know.
Blind Box Math
Blind box ghosts are what we call “100%” size – 2.75” tall x 1.125” wide. They are sold in “blind boxes”, which means you won’t know which NBA player you get until you open the box. The 100% blind boxes come in cases, and each case contains 12 blind boxed ghosts.
Here are the key stats:
- Cases produced = 1,648
- ghosts per case = 12
- Players in the set = 20
- Rookies in the set = 2
- Prospects in the set = 1 (a ghostwrite first!)
- Famous Fans in the set = 1
- Player parallels = 6
- Inserts = 5
- Total unique ghost designs = 146
- Average hits per case = 1
Blind box ghosts operate almost identically to trading cards – hence the trading card terminology above like “parallel”, “insert”, “rookie”, and “hit”. If you’re a card collector, you know these words well, and you also probably understand the experience. When designing this product, it was that experience that we’ve tried to replicate – like chasing the 1/1 of your favorite rookie!
But there is one important difference between cards and ghosts. Well, two important differences, if you count the fact that ghosts are 3-dimensional. In a typical trading card set, pretty much every player in the league is included. But for 3-dimensional blind box toys, it’s impossible to make a set with hundreds of different players. For our NBA 2025 collection, we had to narrow it down to twenty players, plus one famous fan – Eminem.
The list of NBA players included in this collection was locked in shortly after the 2025 NBA draft. Is our list perfect? No, not even close. But as set lists go, this one is pretty stacked.
The Set List
Here’s who Jackie Moon wouldn’t trade for a washing machine for.

| 2. Cooper Flagg | 8. Jayson Tatum | 14. Paolo Banchero |
| 3. Devin Booker | 9. Jimmy Butler III | 15. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander |

| Rookies: | Prospects: | Famous Fan: |
| 1. Jared McCain | 1. Cooper Flagg (SP) | 1. Eminem |
| 2. Zaccharie Risacher |
Note that LeBron, Jokic and Cooper Flagg are all designated as “SP” – that stands for “Short Print”. More on this in a moment.
For every other player, the set is divided into a base design and parallels.
The Base Design: Game Face
The NBA collection uses the same “Game Face” design that we introduced with our WNBA 2024 Blind Box collection and also appeared on our 2025 MLB collection. Each player in the NBA 2025 collection dons a variety of home and away jerseys with a color-coordinated crown and sneakers. Where possible, we also took note of each player’s personal style — arm bands, shooting sleeves, earrings, facial hair — it’s all there.
The two rookies in the 2025 set –- Jared McCain and Zaccharie Risacher — both have an “R” designation on the upper right shoulder of their jerseys. Our first-ever prospect — Cooper Flagg — has a “P” designation on his jersey.
Parallels and Inserts
ghost parallels function just like trading card parallels. The parallel variants have different visual elements, and they are produced in much lower numbers, making them more rare and more valuable to l collectors.
Here is the lineup of the base design and five parallels for Ja Morant. From left to right – Base, Victory, Emerald, Gold, Chrome, and Fire.

| Parallel | Quantity per Player | Approximate Odds Per Case |
| Victory | 50 | 1 per every 1.9 cases |
| Emerald | 25 | 1 per every 3.5 cases |
| Gold | 10 | 1 per every 8.7 cases |
| Chrome | 5 | 1 per every 17.4 cases |
| Fire | 1 | 1 per every 59.4 cases |
In addition to the player parallels, there are four trophy inserts included in the NBA blind box collection that are even more rare and exclusive. These trophy ghosts bear the classic NBA Logoman across their chests along with “2025” – the year of this collection.

As with our previous Blind Box collections, there is also the extremely elusive, extremely rare 1/1 ghostwrite branded insert in the collection. If you were squinting very hard at it, it would look like this:

LeBron, Jokić, & Flagg
As noted above, these three players appear in the set as Short Prints. Only 50 ghosts exist for each player, and there are NO parallels. That means that every single ghost for these three players is a hit. The odds of pulling the Forever King or the reigning MVP is around 1% across the entire NBA “Game Face” set. So if you pull one, be sure to keep it safe.

Cooper Flagg is our first-ever designated “Prospect” ghost, ever. Like LeBron and Jokic, only 50 of the Cooper Flagg ghosts are in the set. We did produce a select number of Cooper Flagg parallels, but they aren’t part of this public release. They have been pre-graded by AFA and will be available at a later date and time, via a manner to be determined.

Eminem: Famous Fan
When Eminem agreed to be the Famous Fan in the NBA “Game Face” 2025 collection, he insisted that we pay homage to his Slim Shady alter ego, and use this iconic hockey-mask look. But, it really didn’t make sense to produce a Victory parallel because Em is already smiling under the mask…trust us. Eminem has 1,000 units of his base parallel, pictured here, included in the collection. He will also have the Emerald, Gold, Chrome, and Fire parallels included at the usual allocations – 25, 10, 5, and 1.

Transparent Supply
Production transparency supports true collectability. By being transparent and open about the scarcity of our ghosts, we create long-term value for collectors. That’s why we’ve made it as easy as possible to know, for each design, exactly how many ghosts exist.
The numbering on the bottom of the foot of the NBA 100% ghosts will show, “0425.X”. This means that this ghost was designed in April of 2025. The “X” will be an actual number that indicates how many of that particular ghost has been produced. If for example you pulled a Gold crown Ja Morant /10, the number on its foot would read “0425.10”.
Player Exclusives
ghostwrite was founded by a team of lifelong card collectors. Throughout this blog post, we’ve talked about all the lessons and insights we drew from trading cards when designing this set. But in addition to being card collectors, we’re ALSO a team of sneakerheads. So we took a couple lessons from sneakers, too.
Most importantly: the concept of the “player exclusive”. Player exclusive sneakers are specific colorways made exclusively for players. They’re never sold to the public; they’re gifted directly to the players themselves.
We did the same thing here. For each player, we created a unique /5 player exclusive parallel. And we’re gifting each player their five PE ghosts. Here’s what they look like:

To be clear: you can’t get these PE ghosts in the cases that you buy. They weren’t packaged into any of our blind boxes; they aren’t for sale. It’s possible you’ll see them someday on the secondary market. But if you do, know they came directly from the player (or, perhaps, an extremely close and lucky friend of the player, in the event they gifted them to someone else).
Overtime – Final Thoughts
Along with the 100% ghosts included in the NBA “Game Face” blind box collection, there will be a limited run of 400% NBA ghosts available for purchase on our site in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to this frequency for more details soon.
For every case of NBA “Game Face” that you purchase in the Blind Dutch Auction, you will receive one free plastic case to keep your biggest hits safe. They look like the cases pictured here but do not include any ghosts inside of them. You can also purchase more of these cases on our site: HERE.
